~ IMAGES FROM OUR TRIP TO BRENHAM, TX ~

This is one of those Box board books...

If this had been a bit more BLUE..instead of green..I wouldhave taken it home...but it was a cutie...so chippy and browned on the upper edge..real character to it. What's this...up in the road.......ahead ?

This is the carpeting in one of the Antique Shoppes...I loved it.

A number of these images were taken in
LEFT OVER ANTIQUES..a most delighful Antique Shoppe, just outside of Brenham.

More to come later....

Oh que j'aime ce vieux broc aux tons bleus fanés.
Très belle semaine.

we had one of those silver dollar plants on our farm growing up...and my mom and I would peel the layer and seeds off to reveal that pearly thin paper layer....oh How I'd forgotten how much I love these!!!

It would be fun to hire a bus and get a bunch of us together and go antiquing.
We use to do that when I lived in Indiana. About 30 of us from an Antiquarian Group would each pay about $35 and the bus would take us to ANY town we wanted as long as we could get back by 8:00PM to Indianapolis.
We usually went over to OHIO for the day.

We almost always were able to make it to two different towns and have lunch someplace and off we would go again ...antiquing.
It was such fun having "show & tell" on the bus.
*** I even bought a Victorian Love seat for my Photogaphy Studio...one time..and had the bus driver put it under... in the luggage area..everyone was teasing me about that.
No one had ever bought something that large on these trips before.
We did this at least twice a year for many years.
