~MORE FROM BRENHAM, TX ~

Been a LONG day...

Saw this distinguished

gentleman sitting waiting for his

wife to get done shopping...we

talked for a good while about his

days as a Texas Ranger...

and he allowed me to

photograph him.

Very small oval dish...really sweet

Dear Rose,

Each day when I visit your lovely blog I am gifted with more beautiful photos and I am grateful!

Love everything and most especially our one of our state's beloved former "Texas Rangers"...I've often heard when you want the job done right send in the Texas Rangers!

Thank you!

Carmelina....I so wish that dish were mine..but it was part of a set of things they were selling as I recall..and was not interested in the entire set.

Thank you for being so faithful in stopping by my blog.

Your are a sweet gal.

Sandy I LOVE HAVING YOU COME BY EACH DAY.

He seemed like such a gentle soul...he said he was 70 years old now...and love to hunt and just take it easy. I wish I had asked his name.
He was VERY proud of (formerly) being with the Texas Rangers.

Hi Rose, That was nice of him to allow you to take his picture, I had to laugh because you see a lot of men on the side line, when it comes to us girls shopping. I really like the picture of the pink rose in with all the vines too.

I'm so glad you were able take the time to visit me and leaving a sweet comment.

Enjoy your Day*

Rose I wish I had known you were coming to Brenham. I live ten miles out of town toward Burton. Brenham is where my home is in town that I have rented out. What a small world.
Love the antique stores in Brenham but Warrenton Antique Show is coming soon so I am waiting on that.
Love
Maggie

It was nice of him, I had seen him earlier in town as we were walking around with his wife.. but he was always way ahead of me..and so when we saw him sitting by himself...I asked him if I could photograph him. And that's when we started talking..he was delighted to have the company. ( smiling )
Ah... the the pink rose... I took that silk rose from a can they had them in.....and put it right in the middle of the vine branches that were hanging on the wall.
Was delighted to be on your blog.

Maggie...I am looking forward to Warrington too.....it should be a good show..have been hearing a lot about it.
I am not sure which day we will go. We usually watch the weather and decide from there.
Not sure if there will be outdoor vendors or not this time of year tho.
The one advantage of being retired is... we can go any day...as we please.

Do you work full or part time ?
