~ TRIPLE PLATE ?~

I believe this is a Victorian
Calling Card Receiver...in triple
plate.
It has four short ornate feet on the bottom.
If anyone knows more
than this about it...please let me
know. Thank you.
The design in the center of it
caught my eye.
(Enlarge to see details )
Also, does anyone know how to clean these up...or polish them ?

This plate is so ornate and beautiful, I just went to my local grocery store and found a product to clean mine, it's a round big jar that has a cream in it with a sponge and you just put the cream all over and rub just a little and then rinse with water and it works wonders!! It's called "Wrights Silver Cream" hope this helps. Pearl

How pretty the silver tray is Rose. I usually resort to tarnix. I also think it is lovely tarnished. I imagine you have some old calling cards to put in it too.
What a beautiful photo, love the collage, did you make it? It kind of looks like a book cover too, or journal. Just beautiful Rose.
