You know,I have always admired those images with the MACRO rain droplets on them...so I tried it.
And it only had ONE rose left on the bush, until those others bloom soon.
Ira, I LOVE my "guard frog" too..I would be afraid on him if I was a stranger...LOL. He's pretty big...and sorta ugly !

Love the guard frog!! I had never heard the cliche about the acorns and having a harsh winter. I will have to notice that more now that I know.

From the Farmers Almanac :-

Do the Squirrels Know Something We Don’t?
It has been hot. It has been humid. With that ongoing heat wave that has been around the country, I don’t think anyone is seriously thinking about winter, except maybe the squirrels in my neighborhood.
One of the many traditionally cited signs of a hard winter is an unusual abundance of acorns. It’s also said that squirrels will start gathering these nuts earlier than usual to fortify themselves against a hard winter. Last few weeks, we noticed “a ton” of acorns on our driveway,on our deck and sidewalks. We clean them all up EACH day. Only to find by evening they are ALL back there again.
This morning at around 6 a.m., I could hear a squirrel going crazy shaking the acorns out of the oak tree outside the bedroom window. And I don’t mean just a few, either. The nuts hitting the deck were cacophonous, and there were so many I couldn’t see the wooden deck beneath them! So, now I’m wondering; is this is just a case of one crazy, overly-greedy
squirrel......... ?
What do you think ?

But I can tell you one thing for certain, this SAME thing happened last year..and we had a very hard, long winter for here in the Houston Texas area.
So it's anyone's guess.

But be prepared !!
