Textured Antique Clock & Doll images

Photographed this clock in Brenham, TX....it needed some love...but I also wanted to texture an image of it.

The doll is one of mine.

Really like textured filters, but I keep forgetting to use them...I must have hundreds of them.

These are about 4 layers deep.

Here are two different versions of the clock image, the bottom one has a lace texture screen on it.

It's lovely! Thank you for visiting my blog. When I read that you are a retired professional photographer, I didn't know what to think! I know you have so much knowledge that many of us will never have. I appreciate your comments.

(I love the pink roses and the rolled-up text in the image at the lower right, too!)

Evelyn, thank you...but as I have often said....I am one of the OLD SCHOOL Photographers ( ie:- film)...but have been completely converted to Digital now.
I staated with a Brownie Hawkeye camera when I was 8. I am now 73.
So its been a re-learning curve for me to practice the digital process along with PhotoShop & PSP. Just love the look of your images and those that use filters, masks and such...it gives modern images that "OLD Timey" look that I SO admire.
My work was mostly Still Life's to begin with.. sold at Art Fairs...and then later, my Portrait Studio earned my living for many years.
It is such a honor for me to learn from you younger ladies ( and gentelmen) how to do it now.

I’m 68 and my first camera was a Brownie! My grandmother gave it to me when I was in high school, and I actually photographed an older cousin’s wedding!!

In college, I minored in journalism, so did some photography there, including working in the darkroom. When I first began teaching, my photography took a back seat, but when we moved to Micronesia in 1969 for five years, I took up the camera again. I think I had a Pentax and then a Minolta.

Of course, I photographed nearly every step of my two sons’ lives (one is 31 now and the other is 29) and I gave each of them a life album when they graduated from high school. Afterwards, I also made an album for the elder one’s culinary training (he took fabulous photos of his year at culinary school) and an album for the other son’s four years at college (he didn’t contribute many photos).

Then came digital and I love it! It certainly saves money! I do print a lot of my photos, though, because my hard drive is packed with images from the last several years.

Nice to know you!
