I mainly use my food processor to cut and slice and dice , julienne vegetables for cooking or for salads. You can use it as a mixer as well. I would not normally have bought such a expensive and huge processor, but we got such a deal so why not buy the best for the cost of the least.
I am sure there are alot other things you can do with the processor that I have never used it for.
