~ THIS MAY LOOK FAMILIAR~

OH JOY....OH HAPPINESS ~~!!
( enlarge to see more details )

The Antique Dealer agreed to sell me just this pump organ TOP ONLY.....after all.
And I could not be more thrilled.~~SNOOPY DANCE !!
** I must have given her the "dying calf in the hailstorm look"...( smiling )
Will have to do some re~arranging on our walls to accommodate it.....but SMALL sacrifice... I believe.
We picked it up this week-end after my grandson got home with his truck.
Will let you know when it is ON OUR OWN wall...it may take a while..we don't do things very fast around here.
This image was taken at the Mall.

Debbie thanks !
I should have removed the "things" from the shelf before I photographed it at the Mall...but alas, did not.
I am thinking of adding two more small mirrors on the existing facade..I lOVE mirrors.
Brings so much light into a room.
And besides, they reflect the "treasues" that I plan to have on it later. ( SMILING )

Meant to say, I will probably add OVAL beveled mirrors to it. If I can find them...or round ones. I know I have seen those around.

Darling Rose, Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment. It brought tears to my eyes and choking in my throat as I felt your pain. My story just came out with no plan of doing so , certainly not in public...but I think it is good for all of us...and the feedback I am getting is confirming that many young girls went through the same things. I just didn’t know any better...You right about our “stuff” though...ha ha....Luv ya gal and please keep reading and visiting. all the best Cynthia

Marcie...I KNEW you would love it too...I have been looking for an pump organ top like this for years...and the price was right too.

The two pieces ( that she had called a set) were beyond my budget...and they did not match..so whne she called and said she would split them up I was elated.... how good can it get ?

Cynthia...I too was surprised how it came flowing out when I started to comment.

I will keep reading.

Rose ~Victorian Rose ~ said...

Thanks Pearl..I am excited about it for sure.

You will be seeing MORE images of it when we finally get it up..it will take two men to hang it...so may have to wait until our son in law is available or something.

Rose ~Victorian Rose ~ said...

Thanks June & Pam....I do feel great about this piece...and as soon as our company leaves after this week-end....we will be working on getting it UP on the wall. ~~
HUMMMMmmm maybe one of them will volunteer to help us do that.

It is a bit heavy, so we have to be SURE to hang it securely.... into about three studs.

I do not have anyplace to put it ON something...so it has hang on the wall.

Pam, I still do not have my Eastlake mirror up yet..that we bought about 2 months ago..
( hanging my head ) in fact, the guy across the street is still working on the added shelf piece and brackets for under it...AND THEN..we have to have it painted...so that will be a while.

AT LEAST THIS ORGAN PIECE IS ALREADY PAINTED !!!

I think its wonderful and your husband is a super guy for supporting you in getting it!

Rose ~Victorian Rose ~ said...

He sure is...! And he is the one who will have to put it up too.
Just the fact that he is willing to live with all this olde " white stuff" is wonderful.

Thanks for visiting the cottage for Pink Saturday and for your sweet comment about my images. I'm flattered to have received such a comment from a professional.

I'm hosting three new linky parties starting this first week of June and would love for you to participate. The first one started tonight, June 1st.

well, I am probably not that kind...because I SELL these cards =) I use old postcards and other vintage materials, redesign it in Photoshop and add text to it. I love to bring new life to these old treasures so they are not forgotten. My cards are also sold in about 20 interior shops in Norway, so I have made a living out of it. But I do agree with you - there sure is a a special beauty found in these old treasures!!Everything was more beautiful before...

Just want to say thank you for your lovely comment!! I love your blog too =) and hope you will post pictures of what you make out of your new postcard collection.

Lynn, Minky & Liz....I am so happy you ALL stopped by to share my excitement.
Lynn, I AGREE... I had walked passed this piece on three seperate trips to the Mall..and I was SO afraid that it would be gone the next time..so I am glad I asked if she would split them up...(never hurts to ask)....
OH Liz, I would love to see the one you have too...even in it's "before" state.
The dealer told me mine was very, very dark and discolored and needed to be "loved " back into this century.. with off white paint.

I am honored to be the new person to LOVE it.

Rose. the piece is very beautiful... The ladies heads are available on ebay if you are willing to pay the price... I bid on a couple a couple years ago and just left them go as people were willing to pay much more than I was.... I am struggling through the day with the house cleaning but getting it done.... Tom just called and said he was going to stay over and play his leagues before the rains come in... He has already played 18 this morning... he just can't ever get enough... He's a cronic golf acholic and sometimes I just GGrrrrrrrrr....Wonderful man but when theres golf there is nothing else that matters.... grrrrr again... Thanks for the words of encouragement.... This too will pass...... I am off to place supper in the oven because when he comes home and he will be very hungry...

Rose ~Victorian Rose ~ said...

Rene' it is a KILLER FIND...thanks.
I am anxious to get it up...but I can't help at all...so we will have to get a neighbor over and help hang..it, but FIRST we have to put a board up and secure that to the wall....to hang it on...and have to move some furniture, etc. etc. too.

Everyone will see it when it it ARRIVES on the wall.

Be still my heart!! I can't wait to see it in your home...get busy!! haha

We are still working on small projects around the house...where does the time go? It seems to take forever to get this stuff done but I'm sooooo glad it is! After all, I've been here for a year now..LOL

Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie ♥

Rose ~Victorian Rose ~ said...

Hi Steph...WHERE does the time go indeed !!!
Have not been to see you in a while...I have been very negligent about visiting as mamy blogs as I SHOULD..but can only do as many as I am ABLE... and that is the whole truth of the matter.
We have had company since Memorial Day..they just left yesterday...it was our youngest daughter..and her fiance' and so we did not mind a bit. We don't get to see her but about every 18 months or so. They live in Indiana and we are here in Texas.

AND THEN THERE IS THE HOUSE...( "Oy Vey " )
I keep getting things that I have been wanting to change out on my walls and such....as most of my things have been around the house and up on the walls for 11 years now.
TIME FOR A CHANGE...and I just love hunting for "new" things...for the project.

Today we are playing "catch up" from not being able to be ANYTHING done around here. On the go the whole time.

Rose, re: the pitcher on my blog...please feel free to download any of the photos there to use in your "patchwork" photos! I hope they are taken from the right angle. If not, I don't have your email to send you a full front shot. Either way, it isn't a smooth front, as you can see. It has those angles vertically cutting the design and causing some to be in shadow...
Thanks for asking! It's one of my favorites!
