~I had to talk him into these shelves~

And we did not have to re~paint them either...!!
But as you can tell they are "shabby painted"...and our son in law who helped up set these up...said..."looks like you are going to have to touch them up"...I tried not to laugh.
MEN..they just don't understand at times.

Not at all sure why my husband was initially reluctant to get these shelves..but anyway...
( smiling ) ....off we
went to Hobby Lobby and got them... for storage ( not for looks really ) against the dining room wall. They weigh a TON !
The next time you see these, ( maybe Monday ) they will be loaded with the
"stuff" from the dining room table...and parts unknown.
We have to cut a foam core base for each shelf ...because they just have metal strips ....and things could fall thru otherwise.
This is the beginning of my new " Creative Workspace"....and who knows...maybe one day..I will
be featured (as the oldest woman )... in " Where Women Create" ?

Rose - I really love the looks of those shelves - very pretty and I can see they're very sturdy. Just what I need to get all my junk and supplies off my dining table too!! Everything seems to land there...

Loving those great shelves!! My DR table is always a mess. It seems to be the catch all for everything. I guess that is why I can never do a tablescape!!

Thank you ladies....I like them too...hubby did not as much..it's funny...he almost NEVER objects to my choices...so it took me two trips back and "looking" at them again..before he was convinced.
We have been looking for somthing for in there for months now.
The antique bookcase type pieces are just SO EXPENSIVE.
These were on sale at 30% OFF too.
We only had THAT wall to put them on...the other wall is only a kind of "half wall"...into the family room...we will have to move the dining table over towards the other wall a bit I think. But anyway... it's a start.
I really would like to have a narrow console type of thing for in between them...Hobby Lobby had one, but this time...I did not like it a whole lot.
Maybe I can can find an ANTIQUE piece for there..HUH ?
