~ BOTTLES IN THE SAND~
It has us very concerned here in Texas too..... as SO much of the GULF coast is threatened by this oil spill.... Our poor Old Galveston, Tx is still recovering from Hurricane IKE ...and now this mess to have to worry about. How many of you live along the Gulf coast and will be effected by this ? I remember how white the beaches are over in Destin, Fla. too. READ ... http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/02/gulf-mexico-oil-spill-closes-fishing-louisiana-florida-panhandle/
I talked to my dear cousin ellie ann and she lives in pensacola and they are worried there too how much oil is going to wash up on the their sugar white sand on the beach . I hope it is not too bad and they can get it contained I will pray for all of you along the gulf coast .
phonelady... It looks BAD....I am not sure how much Texas will get of this "goo"...but we don't need any ...after IKE ...
And those poor people in Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana don't need ANYTHING else now either. But unfortunately, it is already happening to them in Louisiana. I was just reading where this stuff is going to "spew" for months yet.
I believe this may be nearly irreparable damage this time...for many, many years to come... to our ecosystem and shorelines and beaches. The tourist season is just starting in some area's...and that is a another WHOLE "industy" that will be affected...with people losing their jobs ( and livelihoods) because of it. To say nothing of the SHRIMP and FISHING industry ...some of those people have GENERATIONS of famliies that have done nothing but SHRIMP FISHING. Gosh, it maks me so very sad...and you know what, I will not be the LEAST bit surprised if they find that it was terrorism involved.
WE need to pray even more fervently about all of this that is happening to our BELOVED COUNTRY.

SO MUCH WASTE. PRAYER is much needed.

It does make me sick too. In time mother nature has a way of correcting things. Not much solace right now.
