Dear Rose,

How beautiful!

Just the other day, I went to our back door, looked out and saw Robins! Probably 15 to 20, at the bird bath, in the puddles, pecking away at the winter grass. I ran for my camera, opened the door and POOF! They were gone!

Do they migrate? This is not a usual happenstance for my part of Texas...or at least I've never seen more than one at a time.

I miss Robins. Growing up in PA they were as prolific as the pigeons are here. We had a wayward robin here one winter ( probably did not have good GPS) that hung out in the back yard for several days. Of course we also have few worms so he moved on quickly and I have never seen another. sigh

the memories of some things never seem to fade, like the anticipation of spring.

I know, we had more robins in Indiana each Spring...than we ever see down here anymore.
Don't know what is happing to all of them.
IF YOU see a robin in your area...report about it..or better yet, take a photo of it and post it on your blog..it will make a lot of people happy.
